Feel at home on our islands
Azorean Keys is a local accommodation group born from a passion for welcoming guests. Our name reflects our commitment to those who visit us: "Keys" are the keys we hand you to open the door to your new home. "Azorean" anchors our identity to the land, the sea, and the genuine hospitality of these islands. We have only one goal: to ensure every guest feels truly at home.
Stories, places, and Azorean hospitality.

Where Nature Invites Calm
There is a singular magic to foggy or lightly rainy days on the island of São Miguel. Far from being an obstacle, these days are the perfect invitation to seek the comforting warmth of the Azorean thermal waters.
- Immersion in nature: Places like Poça da Dona Beija, Terra Nostra Park (in Furnas), or Caldeira Velha are perfectly surrounded by the green of the pastures and almost untouched vegetation.
- Volcanic waters: Naturally heated by dormant volcanic activity, these iron-rich waters provide a sense of comfort that contrasts perfectly with the cool, humid breeze typical of the island.
- Time for yourself: Visiting the hot springs is the ultimate relaxation experience, ensuring each guest feels at home and at peace. We recommend scheduling your visit for the late afternoon. The dusk brings an even more serene atmosphere, turning the thermal bath into a moment of absolute disconnection from the outside world.

Between Black Basalt and the Atlantic
For those who choose to stay at Casa Arcanjo in Lagoa, the proximity to the ocean dictates the tranquility of the days. This area of São Miguel's south coast is a direct invitation to slow down, marked by a visual contrast that defines the landscape.
- Volcanic beauty: The coastline is shaped by the deep black of volcanic basalt, which meets the blue of the Atlantic in a dramatic yet harmonious way.
- Tranquil dips: The natural pools of Lagoa or the small, picturesque harbor of Caloura offer perfect refuges. Take only a towel and a book. Let yourself absorb the sun and listen to the rhythmic sound of the tide in a discreet, never ostentatious environment.
- Hand-molded tradition: A short distance from the coast lies the historic Cerâmica Vieira. Here, clay takes shape through experienced hands, reflecting a deeply rooted culture. A mandatory stop for those who value authenticity and careful detail.

The Slow Cultivation of the Azorean Pineapple
In São Miguel, time flows at its own pace. Just a few minutes from the heart of Ponta Delgada — and easily accessible from the Azorean Urban Lodge or Pedra do Mar — lies one of the island's sweetest and best-kept secrets: the traditional pineapple plantations.
- An art of patience: Unlike industrial production elsewhere, the Azorean pineapple takes about two years to grow. It is a process carried out with precision and calm, respecting nature's cycles and the time the fruit needs to reach perfection.
- The traditional greenhouses: Cultivation takes place in century-old glass greenhouses, whitewashed in a cream tone that reflects the soft sunlight. The environment inside is invariably warm, humid, and welcoming.
- The experience: We recommend an unhurried morning visit to one of the plantations open to the public. Stroll calmly through the greenhouses and finish with a tasting of this unique fruit, with its intense and bittersweet flavor. It is the ideal way to start a serene and seamless day.
